Review: Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences

Finally, after 57 days (according to our wedding day counter) I can finally start writing our wedding reviews. It has been such a roller coaster ride, and if you think the ride ends after the wedding day, well you've been fooled - just like the Space Shuttle ride in Enchanted Kingdom, you gotta take another plunge, just this time you're riding backwards.

It has been really really crazy. But now, after a month, things are finally settling in. And so now I can start writing my reviews :)

We have been really really lucky to have such amazing suppliers for our wedding. Didn't really had the nightmare-ish type of experience, although we did have some stressful moments.

For now, I'll start with our Hotel accommodations. :)

Budget:  Bridal Suite: 6500.00
               Groom's Room and additional 2 rooms : 4000.00
               *no breakfast included

Our original plan was actually to stay at Manila Peninsula, we already bought membership cards to get bigger discounts, but after a while, we realized that Manila Peninsula was actually a bad idea. First of all, with their current price, we can only get 2 rooms, one for the bride and one for the groom. No rooms for the rest of the family though. Another thing is that they seem to be very strict about bringing food in, and we really didn't want to get into problems on the day itself, so we looked for another alternative.

I found the Picasso Boutique Residences in W@W (Along with almost all of our suppliers), the pictures in their website were all really really pretty. Another plus for the hotel is their location, as they are located in Makati City, and close to our church (around 15 minutes travel time).  So as we were considering changing hotels, we got another sign. One of our friend knows someone from the hotel, and he said they can give us discounts. and what BIG DISCOUNTS they were. With our current budget, we managed to get 4 rooms, with one room for 2 days. :)

The day before the wedding, we were scheduled to check-in at around 2PM, but since we still had a lot to do, I decided to call the hotel at around 7AM to ask if we can check-in early.. and they said YES! YAY! we checked-in at around 11am, although the room was already ready by 10AM :) We got one suite with a connecting room for my sister and brother in law. And another 2 rooms for Jam and his family.

All the staff were really really friendly, we didn't have any problems at all when we were there. They were accommodating to our requests and even helped us carry the food deliveries to our rooms. hehe. :) Since we actually had a baby shower (for my sister) the night before the wedding, we had tons of food delivered to our room, but the hotel didn't have any problem with that. And on the early morning of the big day, we had Jollibee delivered for 50 people, and they were all-alright :)

Another plus is that the room was really big, and although we had a lot of suppliers with us, there were no problems with space at all. And our photographers had the best time taking pictures, since there were so many places in the hotel that looks amazing in photos.

All in all, it was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding, cancelling our Manila Pen reservations and instead choosing the more simple but very very worth it Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences. :)

And oh, they gave us a bottle of wine (on d house!) on the night of our wedding. :)

Will post photos soon. :D
